I don’t have a finished book out yet, but every novel I’ve gotten anywhere with started thanks to National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short.

• Hester and the Kookaburra King*
  When a plague befalls Guineawick, Hester must set off from home on an adventure to find the cure. Started during NaNoWriMo 2010.
• Bump Up
  A troubled firefighter finds himself caught between the world of post-9/11 New York and the fantasy world of his mother’s famous children’s stories. Started during NaNoWriMo 2009.
• 10,000 Butterflies
  Harry Potter imagined a “very British” magical world with ministries and boarding schools. What would a “very American” magical world look like? Why roaming biker gangs in the Arizona desert of course. Started during NaNoWriMo 2008.
